KMW signs Ashok Indian JV

German manufacturer Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) has signed a partnership deal with Indian firm Ashok.

Chennai-based Ashok is India’s largest military logistics vehicle supplier.

Ashok and KMW have signed a joint venture contract to develop armoured vehicles for the Indian Army.

The firms announced the deal at the IDEX defence show in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The memorandum of understanding covers armored wheeled vehicles, recovery vehicles, artillery and combat systems, bridge layers, and other associated vehicles.
